The 82nd Street Playground was closed because of safety concerns. To design an improved playground, we need to hear from our community and the people who will use the playground! We are eager to gather input from visitors, residents, parents, children, grandparents, and grandchildren regarding the preferred type of playground equipment. We would also like to hear from you about whether an “All Inclusive Playground” would benefit our community.

The public is encouraged to attend a public hearing to learn more about the project and to ask questions or provide comments on the proposed plan on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 6:30 pm. The meeting will be held in person in Borough Hall Council Chambers at 9508 Second Avenue Stone Harbor, NJ 08247 as well as via Zoom which can be accessed on the Borough’s website opens in a new windowSHNJ.org as part of the regularly scheduled council meeting. Stone Harbor Flood Insurance Community Meeting 3/14/23

PUBLIC MEETINGS

The Borough of Stone Harbor, pursuant to rules established by the Sunshine Law, must offer the public the opportunity to participate in all public meetings. The Borough of Stone Harbor will continue to provide a ZOOM Video Conference platform that allows for public comment however any testimonials within the Planning Board of Adjustment or Zoning Board of Adjustment meetings must be made in person.
