Friday, December 20th:
The Stone Harbor Police Department is investigating several burglary and theft incidents from local residences that were reported this past week. The incidents involve unknown person(s) entering the unsecure crawl spaces of primarily vacant homes south of 116th Street and one in the center of town to cut and remove the copper plumbing pipes attached to the home. In addition to the theft of the copper plumbing from these homes, police have also found that in some instances the air conditioning compressor units are also being taken.
Residents are asked to secure the crawl space entrances of their homes and report any suspicious activity immediately to the Stone Harbor Police Department at (609) 368-2111.
