Atlantic City Electric – Peermont Substation Project

Atlantic City Electric has completed the Peermont Substation Project and all associated work on 95th Street in Stone Harbor and Hallman Road in Middle Township. Crews finalized all work this week in connecting the second transmission line to the new substation in Avalon to complete the project in its entirety.
Crews will perform final restoration work in the Fall in Avalon, Middle Township and Stone Harbor.
This work will entail paving and repairing curbs and driveways that were affected through the construction process.
We thank our customers, especially in the most impacted construction areas, for their patience and understanding as we worked to complete this reliability improvement project.
The Peermont Substation Project modernized our electric system to help ensure safe and reliable electric service to residents in Avalon, Middle Township, Stone Harbor and the surrounding area. The upgraded infrastructure and steel utility poles, designed to withstand 120 mph winds, is more resilient against extreme weather events.
