Residents of Stone Harbor:
Dredging for the Stone Harbor Maintenance Dredging Project will commence Wednesday November 11, 2015. Dredging will start at the North Basin and then proceed to Shelter Haven. The schedule of basins following Shelter Haven will be determined at a later date and the updated schedule will be made available to the public.
All work performed by the contract will be conducted in accordance with the contract specifications, as well as the approved NJDEP and USACE permit conditions.
The dredging project is scheduled for two phases, with an option for a third phase if required. Phase 1 has started and will be completed by March 31, 2016. Phase 2 is scheduled for September 7, 2016 – March 31, 2017.
Please be advised that during the construction periods the Stone Harbor Marina, including the boat ramp, will be closed to the public. Between the phases of construction (April – September) the contractor will demobilize from the site and the Stone Harbor Marina will be available for public use.
