BOROUGH ADMINISTRATOR

The Borough of Stone Harbor is seeking to fill the position of Borough Administrator. This unique opportunity to become part of premier South Jersey shore community of 900 residents to nearly 24,000 visitors during the summer season. This non-civil service community operates under the “Borough” form of government and offers a full range of municipal services with a budget of over $30 million.

The successful candidate shall be recommended by the Mayor and subject to the consent of Borough Council and have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferably with a concentration in public administration or related area of study; 5-years of related  experience in public-sector government. Additional professional aptitudes, licensures and/or certifications are preferred: Registered Municipal Clerk (RMC), Economic Development (Grant Writing), Municipal Purchasing, knowledge of municipal budgets, JIF Fund and basic human resources policies.

Candidates are required to possess a valid NJ driver’s license and will be required to undertake a Criminal Background Check and pre-employment testing procedures established by the Borough of Stone Harbor.
