FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 1:00 P.M. THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON.

WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 4:00 PM THIS AFTERNOON UNTIL 1:00 A.M. MONDAY. WINDS 20-30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 50 MPH EXPECTED.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Atlantic coastal portions of Cape May County in New Jersey.
DAY ONE… Through tonight. Several instances of flooding are possible, especially in urban and poor-drainage areas and near vulnerable small creeks and streams. Windy conditions may cause isolated instances of tree damage and power outages.

A FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON
* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
* WHERE…Portions of Delaware, including the following areas, Delaware Beaches, Inland Sussex, Kent, and New Castle. Portions of northeast Maryland, including the following areas, Caroline, Kent MD, Queen Annes, and Talbot. Portions of New Jersey, including the following areas, Atlantic, Atlantic Coastal Cape May, Camden, Cape May, Coastal Atlantic, Coastal Ocean, Cumberland, Eastern Monmouth, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Northwestern Burlington, Ocean, Salem, Somerset, Southeastern Burlington, Sussex, Warren, and Western Monmouth. Portions of Pennsylvania, including the following areas, Berks, Carbon, Delaware, Eastern Chester, Eastern Montgomery, Lehigh, Lower Bucks, Monroe, Northampton, Philadelphia, Upper Bucks, Western Chester, and Western Montgomery.
* WHEN…From 1 PM EST this afternoon through Monday afternoon.
* IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – Moderate to heavy rain will spread into the area today through tonight. Storm total rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are forecast, with locally higher amounts near 4 inches possible. This excessive rainfall may lead to some areas of flooding.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 1 AM EST MONDAY
* WHAT…South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.
* WHERE…Eastern Monmouth, Atlantic Coastal Cape May, Coastal Atlantic and Coastal Ocean
* WHEN…From 4 PM this afternoon to 1 AM EST Monday.
* IMPACTS…Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Special caution should be taken to secure any outdoor holiday decorations that may blow away.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…South winds will increase this afternoon and evening ahead of a strong cold front. Heavy bursts of rain may be accompanied by locally stronger wind gusts. Strong northwest winds are also forecast for Monday after the cold front moves offshore.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
