July 19, 2023: Beach Nourishment Update – Demobilization In Progress

BEACH CLOSURE AND BEACH NOURISHMENT UPDATE

–  The 123^rd Street crossover, beach and parking lot are currently closed for demobilization operations.

– The Dredge, Texas, & Booster are currently off site at the Cape May Inlet.

– The subline landing in Stone Harbor at 91^st Street has been taken offshore this morning.

– The disassembling of shore pipes from south to north is complete, with exception of the long sections of pipe between 115^th and 119^th Streets. Those pipes are  in the process of being cut  and will be consolidated at 123^rd Street beach with the rest of the stored shore pipe.

– Demobilization of equipment, pipe and supplies is in progress via 123^rd street.

– Dredge Texas pumped: 727,755 CY, 100% complete (per GLDD).

– Beach fill operation completed as of July 17, 2023.
