UPDATE: BEACH NOURISHMENT PROJECT DEMOBILIZATION

Demobilization of equipment, pipe and supplies is in progress via 123^rd Street.

–  The 123^rd Street Beach and Parking Lot are closed until further notice for demobilization operations.

– A sinkhole was discovered and excavated by Great Lakes Dredge and Dock at the Outfall at 111th Street. The sinkhole was inspected by USACE, NJDEP, Stone Harbor Public Works and GLDD. The source of the sinkhole was at the 45 degree mechanical joint fitting of the outfall pipe and will be repaired by Stone Harbor Public Works, as it was determined to be existing damage and NOT caused by the beach-fill project.

– The Dredge, Texas, and Booster are now off site and currently located at Cape May Inlet.

– Dredge Texas pumped: 727,755 CY, 100% complete (per GLDD).

– Beachfill operation completed as of, 7/17/23.
