Stone Harbor, NJ – February 23, 2024 – Get ready for even more fun! Two beloved community playgrounds, located at 97th Street and 82nd Street, are embarking on exciting transformations to provide even better play experiences for children of all abilities and ages.
Both playgrounds will undergo significant improvements. The existing, outdated equipment has already been removed, paving the way for a fresh start.
97th Street Playground: First Up for Fun!
Up first is the 97th Street playground. We’re thrilled to announce the installation of a brand-new, state-of-the-art, and inclusive playground. This means more accessible equipment, innovative features, and engaging activities for children of all ages and abilities. The sensory dome will be the centerpiece of our playground, providing an inclusive area for all to enjoy.
82nd Street Playground: A Showpiece in the Making
While construction starts at 97th Street, the exciting design phase unfolds for the 82nd Street playground in the future. We are looking to incorporate the latest play trends and fitness equipment, transforming it into a showpiece and destination playground for the entire community. This summer, we will have outdoor games and activities set up to enjoy at the 82nd street area while we await the arrival of our new playground.
