Due to rough seas the subline repairs have been pushed to tomorrow.
GLDD has consolidated their beach fill construction site and has opened 700’ of beach to the public for today ONLY.

Beach Closures and Beach Nourishment Update for June 30, 2023
Current street crossover closures by Great Lakes Dredge & Dock, Co. (GLDD):
Protected Beaches are closed at:
Most advanced basket discharge station: 111th Street
The Dredge, Texas, is currently down for mechanical issues on the Booster. Technician is arriving at 10:00 am to repair the booster pump generator according to GLDD. Dredging will resume when issue has been rectified.

Per the Stone Harbor Beach Patrol, the following protected beaches are closed today, June 30, 2023, due to beach nourishment activity:

TODAY’S BEACH CLOSURES (June 29, 2023) DUE TO BEACH NOURISHMENT PROJECT:
– Beaches are closed at 90th Street and from 109th to 112th Streets for beach nourishment operations.
– Expect intermittent closures of the 123rd Street parking lot for mobilization/storage of equipment and supplies
– Most advanced basket discharge station: 111th Street
– The Dredge, Texas, and Booster are on site and working.

TRAFFIC ALERT!
Intermittent openings of the 96th Street Bridge are planned for Thursday, June 29th between the hours of 4 am – 6 am, while welding activity is in progress. The bridge openings are predicted to last about ten minutes each and may result in some traffic build up, as well as limited access to the mainland. Please plan accordingly.
