– Beaches are closed from 107th to 110th Streets.

– Expect intermittent closures of the 123rd Street parking lot for mobilization/storage of equipment and supplies.

– Most advanced basket discharge station: 109th Street

Both, the dredge “Texas” and the booster pump are on site and working.

Beach Nourishment Update and Closures for June 25, 2023

UPDATE
– The dredge, “Texas” resumed dredging this morning at approximately 1:00 am. After some velocity concerns operations were shut down for evaluation. After testing, adjustments were made and digging operations resumed. Material will be hitting the fill-site soon.

– Beaches from 107th St. to 110th St. are currently closed for beach nourishment operations.
– Expect intermittent closures of the 123rd Street parking lot for mobilization/storage of equipment and supplies.

  • BEACH CLOSURE UPDATE FOR THURSDAY, JUNE 22, 2023:
    – Beaches from 107th to 108th streets are closed for beach nourishment operations.
    – Expect intermittent closures of the 123rd Street parking lot for mobilization/storage of equipment and supplies.
    – Most advanced basket discharge station: 106th Street
    – The Dredge, “Texas,” & Booster Pump were towed from their positions and are in safe harbor (Cape May Inlet) due to forecasted rough sea conditions, estimated return to be approx. 48 hours/ Friday morning.

  • Expect intermittent closures of the 123rd Street parking lot for mobilization/storage of equipment and supplies.
  • The Dredge Texas & Booster Pump were towed from their positions and are in safe harbor (Cape May Inlet) due to forecasted rough sea conditions, estimated return to be approximately 48 hours/ Friday morning.

Beach Fill Update, June 20, 2023: Dredge to be Towed to Cape May Inlet Due to Rough Seas in Forecast

UPDATE: Great Lakes Dredge and Dock (GLDD) plans to tow the Dredge “Texas” and the Booster Pump from their current positions to safe harbor (Cape May Inlet) due to forecasted rough sea conditions. The estimated return is to be in 48 hours/ Friday morning.
